"A picture must be fertile. It must give birth to a world. Whether you see it in flowers, people, horses, it matters little, so long as it reveals a world, something alive."
I work in watercolour or gouache watercolour or a mixture.
I aim for Content, Mastery and Enchantment.

"Do you, Sir, paint in fear and trembling?" William Blake.
The Pink Tree and the Heron. Gouache, 2015. Selected for Royal west of England Autumn Exhibition, 2015.
For me, and for many artists that I talk to, painting is a spiritual pursuit. You talk to yourself, going deeper into the area which connects us all. Done often enough, for long enough, you can maybe discover who you are and the binding force linking all.
